Polk and Associates PLC & Murray & Associates PC Announce Merger

Murray & Associates PC in St. Clair Shores, MI, has merged its practice into Polk and Associates headquartered in Bingham Farms, MI. Their merger will create a combined firm with in excess of 25 accountants and support staff, making it one of southeast Michigan's premier tax and accounting firms focused on serving the business and financial advisory needs of a diversified client base. Murray & Associates, its partners and staff will remain in its existing office and the combined firm will operate from both locations. The firm will continue to operate as Polk and Associates. Mike Murray and Susan Brooks will remain with the firm as a Principals and continue in their existing roles managing client services for Murray & Associates existing client base.

Murray's experience has been in Individual and small business bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation as well as consulting services including estate planning, financial forecasting and trust administration. We feel it is a good compliment to Polk and Associates experience in the real estate, health care, and professional service industries which include complex taxation issues.

Polk and Associates staff provide many similar consulting services as well as business valuation and litigation support services and audit services including MSHDA and HUD audits.
